PharmacySmart Compounding provides a comprehensive range of compounding chemist services for patients and healthcare professionals. We have three conveniently located compounding pharmacies in Melbourne – in Balwyn North, East Melbourne and Pascoe Vale South. Our experienced compounding pharmacists work alongside doctors in hospitals as well as in Sinclair Dermatology’s medical clinics to help create safe, high-quality, personalised medicines just for you.

PharmacySmart Compounding is dedicated to helping you and your family (including your four-legged family members) get the highest quality medicines, with exceptional care and service. Our experienced and qualified team go above and beyond to meet your individual medication needs. We do this by finding innovative ways to help you get the medicine you need, even in the most challenging situations. We’ll even work out of hours if needed in emergency cases.
Our Story
Owner Andrew Lau and wife Nancy Yeung started PharmacySmart Compounding from a small shop in Doncaster in 2001. Andrew – a qualified pharmacist since 1984 – chose to focus on compounding after he found that commercially available hair regrowth products tended to be messy, and set about creating an improved formulation. This sparked a passion for compounding that has seen Andrew devise various innovative products, including a range used by leading dermatologists.
Nancy worked as an occupational therapist before joining Andrew in the pharmacy. She has training in pharmacy dispensing, laboratory science, and sterile compounding. Nancy is also passionate about complementary medicine and can advise you about our practitioner-only supplement ranges.

Andrew and Nancy, both passionate animal lovers and proud parents to their beloved dog Rudy, believe that pharmacists need heart and soul to provide the highest level of care for both their human and animal patients. Their deep compassion drives them to go above and beyond, working closely with their clients to create personalised medication solutions that support better health outcomes for every member of the family—whether they walk on two legs or four.
